Love With Food Subscription Box Review

love with food

When I made my blog, this other awesome blog started following me called Must Have Boxes. This is a subscription box review blog. It’s pretty awesome. While I was browsing her site, I came across this subscription service called Love With Food. It is a box filled with gourmet snacks that are usually organic, healthy, and natural. The most awesome thing about this subscription box is that for every box you buy, they donate a meal to a hungry child. So awesome!

I bought a 3 month subscription which is $36 dollars every three months. I used a promo code I found somewhere, so my price was reduced. You can cancel at anytime.  Warning: you are not billed monthly; you are billed a lump sum when you order your subscription. I was going to do a year’s worth because it is cheaper by month, but when I was about to check out and saw that I was going to be billed over $100 dollars at one time, I had to back the truck up and change the subscription I wanted.

I received my first box not too long ago, and I wanted to share with you all what was inside of it and how it all tasted.

Everything was nicely packed in the box. The box isn’t terribly big, but it’s packed to the brim. It comes with a card that tells you a little about each product you get in the box.

I will list my least favorite items first and work my way to my favorite.

First up is the Twangerz Snack Topping

I’m only putting this first because I haven’t tried these yet. Next time I make some homemade popcorn I will add one of these to it and see how it tastes.

Lord Nut Levington Rebel Mary Peanuts

I do not like Bloody Marys. Not one bit. I know this is why I did not like these peanuts. I thought if I kept eating them, I would like them. Nope. It just got worse for me. If it was any other flavor, I would have loved them. If you’re a Bloody Mary fan, then you will probably love these. If not, you’ll hate them just like me.

Nature’s Bakery Strawberry Fig Bar

I’m not a huge fig bar fan. I never liked Fig Newtons. This bar wasn’t bad, actually. The dough part of the bar was really moist and soft. The filling had a nice strawberry flavor. I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy these just because I’m not a fig bar fan like I said. But it definitely was not bad!

Uncle Henry’s Handmade Sourdough Pretzels

Vermont Smoke and Cure BBQ Beef Stick

vermont smoke and cure bbq beef stickThis was a pretty good beef stick! To me it wasn’t as greasy as other beef sticks I’ve had. Usually after I eat a beef stick, I get this weird greasy film in my mouth. I didn’t really get that with this. I didn’t notice much of a weird after taste either. I wish this was a bigger sample!

NECCO Candy Waffers and Angel Mint All Natural Orange Salt Water Taffy

NECCO Candy Wafers. I don’t think I need to write anything about these. Classic candy. The salt water taffy was SO good! It was soft and not terribly chewy. It wasn’t too orangey in flavor. It was just right. I’m glad they only had two of them in the box or I would have been in trouble.

Kukuruza Hawaiian Salted Caramel Popcorn

THIS. I can’t even. So good. I love popcorn. I love caramel (care-uh-mel.) I love those two things together. This was seriously addicting. You know how sometimes when eating caramel popcorn, the popcorn almost seems stale? This was not the case for this product. It is seriously good. It’s a good thing the sample wasn’t bigger, but I wish it was! It makes me sad because I don’t think I can buy this anywhere near me! If you have this brand in your stores, GET IT. NOW. GO. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

That’s all that came inside the box. I think this is a pretty good subscription service. While feeding your tummies, you get to feed a hungry child. It really doesn’t get much better than that, does it?! Didn’t think so. I love companies that do this kind of get one, give one concept. I hope you all try it out. You can do it for one month and see how you like it. I can’t wait to get my next Love with Food box!

Hmm, I wouldn’t pay that price for those samples. For that price you could go to the supermarket and purchase 12 full sized random things to try.

True, you could. What really made me want to try it is that they donate meals to hungry children. Also, if you live in the middle of nowhere like I do, it’s hard to find products like these. The nearest Whole Foods or Trader Joes is 3 hours away. For me, this is the cheaper option.
